Content DescriptionWas glad to hear that everyone at Bulstrode was well and especially takes great interest in the concerns of 'the Dss' [Margaret Duchess of Portland]; refers to a letter from Mr Cossen in which brawn from the boar is mentioned; expects that Mr Cuttle has let the earl know about this; expresses gratitude for the half doe sent by the earl.

Writes that the town is still talking about 'Miss W-n's affair'; was surprised to hear that 'L.B.' and his brother had offered to bail 'the Gent-n' but he refused; expects the family to reconcile although the mother 'stands out'; adds that 'the Lady' is staying with her maternal aunt under a constant watch; has asked Crump to send a copy of the General Advertiser and draws the earl's attention to an article on Lord Kinnoull and the Czarina's peace agreement.
