Revocation by (1) of the uses and trusts of his marriage settlement (Pl F5/1/5) relating to the paternal estates (specified) in Cumberland, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex (Soho).

Lease and release by (1) to (6) of his estates in Cumberland, Buckinghamshire and Soho upon trust to sell or mortgage them and apply the proceeds in repayment of (1)'s debts, per the schedule given in a book marked 'P' (see Pl F5/5/1), and in the meantime to use the rental income from the premises to pay the interest on the debts of (1).

Recites the marriage settlement of (1) and (2) (Pl F5/1/5) and subsequent deeds of 1771 and 1776 and the other deeds forming part of the current resettlement (Pl F5/1/8-9).

Certification of registration at the Middlesex Deeds Registry, 9 Sept. 1796: B5 Nos. 18, 20 and 22 (for the original deeds and the endorsements of 1783 and 1789 respectively).

Further revocation of the trusts of the 1766 marriage settlement and conveyance of the paternal estates in Middlesex, Buckinghamshire and Cumberland by (1) to (6) freed from the uses and trusts of that settlement consequent to the resettling of the Marylebone estate by indentures of 7-9 Jan. 1783 etc. in view of doubts having arisen about the effectiveness of the original deeds of 1776-1777 purporting to have the same effect.

Endorsed, lease of 11 Aug. 1789 on lease and release of 12 Aug. 1789 on release:

First Party: William Henry Cavendish, Duke of Portland.

Second Party: Lord John Cavendish and Robert Dent.

Third Party: William Wentworth, Earl Fitzwilliam and John Heaton.

Appointment of (3) as new trustees, retirement of Dent from the trust and continuance of Lord John Cavendish as trustee, and lease and release to (3) of the trust estate.
