A moiety of the manors of Tichfield alias Titchfield, Sigenworth, Swanwicke, Charke, Lee Brittaine, Marke Lee, Mirabele, Crofton, Newland, Brownwicke, Hooke Vallence, Hooke Mortimer, Longstocke, Botley and Fairthorne, Hampshire; the site of the monastery of Titchfield; the rectory of Whipstrode St James; the advowsons of Titchfield, Botley and of the free chappel of Whipstrode St James; and all (1)'s estates in Tichfield, Fareham, Botley, Kingsworthy, Longstocke, Rowner and Whipstrode (of the annual value of £1800).
Upon trust. The Bulstrode/Buckinghamshire estates to the Earl of Oxford and Mortimer for a term of 80 years (determining on the death of either the Duke or Lady Margaret) to secure £500 p.a. to Lady Margaret for her separate use as pin money during the joint lives of the Duke and Lady Margaret, otherwise the rents to be received by (1).
All other estates, and the Buckinghamshire estates subject to the foregoing term, to the use of (1) for life. Thence the Soho estate to (4) for a term of 100 years to secure a rentcharge of £1600 to Lady Margaret as her jointure as specified, paying over surplus rents to the tenant for life etc.; and the Cumberland estate to (5) for a term of 600 years to raise £20000 as portions for the younger children of the marriage (to be divided equally as specified).
Subject to all of the foregoing, to the use of the first son of (1) by Lady Margaret and the heirs male of his body, with remainder to the younger sons of the marriage successively and the heirs male of their bodies, with remainder to (1), his heirs and assigns. Usual provisions for preserving contingent remainders. Power to (1) to make provision of up to £800 p.a. for the jointure of any future wife out of the Soho estate. Leasing powers of the tenant for life (up to 70 years for the Soho estate).
Recites the appointment of the Soho estate for 500 years in 1722 (Pl F2/2/18). Covenant of (1) with the Earl of Oxford and Mortimer to pay the sums due to Lord George for education and maintenance, will pay £30000 to Lord George upon the latter's majority, and cause the term of 500 years to be assigned to the Earl as further security for the payment of Lady Margaret's jointure.
Consideration: £20000 secured to be paid as Lady Margaret's marriage portion.
