Admin History | The Department of Social Administration was part of the Faculty of Arts in 1948, when the University was formed. It became the Department of Social Science in 1954, and moved into the newly-created Faculty of Law and Social Sciences in 1958. In 1965 the Department of Social Science ceased to exist, and the Department of Applied Social Science and the Department of Sociology were created. In 1979 the Department of Applied Social Science became the Department of Social Administration and Social Work. In 1988 the School of Social Studies was created, which became the School of Sociology and Social Policy in 1998. |
