Content DescriptionStates that it was natural for Bettison to think Mr Cavendish would have spoken to the Duke on the subject of Bettison's letter; explains that Cavendish's excessive shyness means that the Duke does not know him; he has asked his agent Heaton who also acts for the Cavendish family to inform Lord Frederick Cavendish of Bettison's offer to manage Mr Cavendish's affairs; states that Lord Frederick is the only person to have contact with Mr Cavendish; refers to Heaton's willingness to carry out this task.

Letter may refer to Henry Cavendish, 1731-1810, natural philosopher.
