Content DescriptionIs staying with her friends Sir Thomas and Lady Whichcote until she goes to stay with George at Whitehaven. Reports that Sir Thomas has had a riding accident and sustained concussion of the brain. Confirms that her brother [John Leslie] is recovering from his accident [see Pw M 356].

Reports further on her nephew Lord Waterford's troubles in Ireland with the Land League and tenant farmers, and complains that he has had to move his horses and hounds to Lincolnshire. Also a riding accident he suffered which has left him in bed unable to walk.

Goes on to discuss family news concerning her daughter Jessica, grandson Mark and son Fred.
