Content Description	Hopes that recent events will encourage the States to consider the affair of the Rhine; speculates that a detachment of [French?] troops may enter Hungary; believes that the court of Vienna should do something to make the Margrave of Baden reverse his inaction; says that this is especially regrettable when England and the States are working so hard in this area; fears that this may lead to a renewal of the war in Hungary; says that he has communicated this opinion to count Galles who will transmit it to the Imperial court; has asked Mr Vryberge to write to his 'master' [Grand Pensionary of Holland] on the subject; says that even if nothing comes of the negotiations at least they will have tried to 'obtain a remedy'; hopes that Lord Halifax will settle the affair of the succession if he has returned to The Hague. This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford. Old Style dating on letter.
