Content DescriptionExpects the Duke of Marlborough to arrive shortly at the Hague; encloses the journal of the siege of Badajor [not present] and asks that it be communicated to the duke; refers to the success of the Anglo-Dutch forces in Catalonia; states that the queen wishes to send additional troops in order to ; directs Stanhope to discuss this proposal with the Pensionary and to request the duke to assist him; asks that the Pensionary be 'pressed' to instruct his ambassador Mr Schonenberg to assist in negotiations with the court of Portugal regarding the command of Portuguese forces.
