Content DescriptionSays that the issue of the releasing of the seized Dutch ships is to be laid before the Cabinet; orders Stanhope to earnestly press the renewal of the conference regarding Darthig; cannot understand why the Dutch are unwilling to allow Lord Galway to command the next campaign; repeats that there is no 'likelihood' that the English will agree to allow the Dutch General to command the forces; authorises Stanhope to inform the Dutch that the queen will send all the provisions that her fleet can spare; says he should only use this bargaining piece as a last resort; says that the 'drawing of Bills of Exchange to France' should only be mentioned to 'particular persons'.
