Content DescriptionRefers to the success of the Duke of Marlborough; hopes that this will have a positive effect on the alliance; has not had time to lay Stanhope's letter before the queen; states that there is no lord who would advise her to accede to Mr Fogel's request and allow her forces to be commanded by 'one of the States'; suggests that Lord Galway be appointed to rule the forces of the alliance provisionally only for the next campaign and that a more permanent decision be made at a later date; discusses the progress of the negotiations regarding 'contraband'.
