Content Description
Discusses the increases made to the fleet; says that the queen has been obliged to add '22 great ships of the line' which was more than her original 'quote'; complains that the [Dutch?] have not sent any ships to join Lord Carmarthen; reports that Mr Vryberge assured the Lords that they would comply with this and send the ships as promised; however this has not been done; explains that the queen will send no further funds unless the States make the promised payment in return; hopes that Stanhope and Lord Sunderland have had successful talks with the States with regard too the 'contraband and passeports'.
This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford.
