Content Description	Discusses Stanhope's part in the sending of more troops to the Danube; believes that a resolution upon the 'affairs of Portugal' from the European states is essential to the 'honor of the alliance'; encloses a copy of a letter [not present] which he received from 'his R.H. Council'; asks that he communicate its contents; gives instructions regarding the conferences on the protection of Danzig; says that he may assure the minister of the Czar of Queen Anne's friendship and that she will send a minister to his court. Parts of text missing due to damage to document. This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford. Old Style dating on letter.
