Content DescriptionThanks him for everything, especially his kindness at the previous day's dinner, and in return sends details of the letter from the Russian court at Lüblin, dated 4 Jul Old Style, which was in the most recent post awaiting his return from Windsor; says the council [meeting] at Lüblin has ended and the decision taken to declare an interregnum and hold a new election for the throne of Poland after one month; says the Russian government should be informed of all the secret and public dealings of the King of Sweden [Charles XII] and Augustus of Saxony with both Britain and the United Provinces, in order to hasten the recognition of Stanislaw as legitimate king and to guarantee the Saxon-Swedish peace.
