Content DescriptionSays he has just received letters inviting him to meet the Privy Council the following afternoon and in order to prepare himself wishes to know by return the names of councillors who will be present; says, since the Tsar [Peter I]'s most recent letters strongly reinforce his earlier instructions, he urgently requires a reply that he can send by courier to the Tsar on the question of the recognition of Stanislaw [Lesczynski]; says the Tsar does not believe the Queen [Anne] would approve such a step so damaging to the Tsar.
