Content DescriptionReports that Lord Strafford will deliver an 'authentic proposal' and an explanation of the same; assures Heinsius of his devotion to the 'Common Good of both nations'; stresses the common goals and enemies of England and Holland; says that some people are attempting to prolong the war, but the nation and the people require peace; believes they will never get the terms they wish from their enemy [France] if it knows the 'secret of our condition'; will send papers via Mr Vanhuls which indicate 'how little the Austrians can be relyed upon'.
