Says that the question before the H[ouse] of L[ords] was 'of a very complex nature'; states that there were objections to being asked to approve a treaty which had not been seen; says that even after the treaties were produced there was much opposition; says that the vote for an address of thanks was carried, after the Court pressed for an immediate resolution; says that proxies were asked for as they were unhappy at only having a majority of 14.
