Sets out a proposal to put up lanterns in London for six months of the year, these to be erected initially at crossroads; details the candle power required with exceptions and variations according to the lunar cycle; calculates costs and taxes to be charged; stipulates the use of iron brackets and oil as cheaper; further argues against the erection of street shop signs attached to houses and walls as unsightly and dangerous in high winds.
