Content DescriptionPl E14/3/3/22/1: Copy draft conveyance (4 June 1904) from William John Arthur Charles James, Duke of Portland, KG, and Edward Horsman Bailey of 5 Berners Street, Oxford Street, Middlesex, solicitor and Charles Ludovic Lindsay of 97 Cadogan Gardens, Middlesex, formerly a Captain in Her Late Majesty's Grenadier Guards (trustees), to Thomas Mills of Hove, Sussex, builder, of a parcel of land 146 feet x 123 feet on the south side of Lawrence Road, Aldrington, Sussex [immediately west of land conveyed to Mills by Pl E14/3/3/20/2], as shown on annexed plan; consideration £800; subject to restrictive covenants contained in deed of 4 Oct. 1880; to erect 6 semi-detached houses at a cost of at least £500 each, with frontages specified; acknowledgment by the vendors of the right of purchaser to the production of title deeds specified in annexed schedule; plan attached.
