Believes country does not need extension of present Reform Bill; refers to manufacturing interests, agricultural prices and cost of poor rate; comments on potential for local strikes; believes Denison should look at interests of borough and of voters; refers to proposal of Mr Pickering as county M.P.; comments on political education of electorate; hopes Denison will visit; refers to faction fighting at local political meeting; states that Denison is to address another meeting; makes comments on Denison's speech; believes there to be little enthusiasm for reform.
Note on f 6v refers to patronage of local Methodist candidate.
