Informs him that he was proposed as British Museum trustee by late Archbishop [Sumner]; states that Lord Lansdowne's death makes another vacancy; Lord Stanhope has recommended he ask Speaker [Denison] to recommend him to Palmerston for post if present Archbishop [Longley] is agreeable.
