Letter from E. Horsman, London, to J.E. Denison; 17 Apr. 1848
17 April 1848
Informs him that he has received letter from Edward Denison who is sending correspondence to Times; states that he never consented to reading Edward's letter in House of Commons if he were unable to comment on it; states that this would place him in unfair position; comments that he only consented through courtesy and on proviso that he could explain his position; refers to discussions with Speaker [Shaw-Lefevre]; refers to his attempts to see Denison who was in committee; does not believe he went back on his promise to Denison; believes publishing correspondence to be best course of action.
