Content Description	Sends the thanks of Prince Czartoryski relative to the plans of the British government to provide arms to the Turkish government for the use of the Polish Legion; provides details obtained from Prince Ogartoryski regarding the Polish Legion; reports that Lord Stratford is opposed to this plan; encloses a copy of his letter to Lord Clarendon; reports that there are fears as to the reaction of Prince Napoléon to this plan and as to how the legion will be funded. Enclosures at Ne C 10679/2/1-2. Some parts of the text have been lost due to fire damage - possibly in the fire at Clumber in 1879. Letter marked 'Private'.
