Content DescriptionFirst Party: Henry Willoughby, esquire of Birdsall, Yorkshire, eldest son and heir of Thomas Willoughby, and his wife Elizabeth, both deceased, who was the daughter of Thomas Sowtheby [later 5th Baron Middleton].

Second Party: Nathaniel Hodgson, clerk of Terrington, Yorkshire and Emma his wife.

Third Party: Francis Willoughby, merchant of Liverpool; Rothwell Willoughby, merchant of Liverpool; and James Willoughby, clerk of Askham Richard, Yorkshire.

Fourth Party: Jerom Dring, gentleman of York.

Lease [Ne D 4163] and release [Ne D 4164] from (3) to (4), at the request of (1) and (2), of the undivided third part of the manors of Walkeringham and Misterton, Nottinghamshire, together with the chief rents, and all property belonging including tithes and fishing of (3); includes expected covenants.

Recitals: (a) details of a lease and release dated 23-24 Dec. 1756 [wanting]; (b) fact that (4) has purchased the manors of Walkeringham and Misterton from (1) and is to enjoy the same free of any claims from (2) and (3), and that (1) has given another security for the payment of £1666.13.4..
