The front of the volume contains a summary of the various inventories, dated March 1966, indicating that the total value of all the personal effects; the 9th Duke of Newcastle under Lyne has signed this, acknowledging receipt of the chattels from the Trustees of the will of the 7th Duke.
The front of the volume also contains an additional valuation of a mid-18th century mahogany desk, dated 20 Nov. 1969.
