Content Description	Two diaries belonging to Jarmain Hope as follows: Ne 6 G 6/1: Begins with the death of his wife on 8 Apr. 1852, and ends 5 Dec. 1852; there is a short entry for every day; bound in tan leather; handwriting on front cover of volume is unreadable due to faded ink. Ne 6 G 6/2: Begins 19 Sep. 1853, and ends with an entry dated 6 Aug.-26 Oct. 1855 reporting on his worsening illness and small chance of recovery; the back of the diary has subsequently been used as an order book for clothes by another individual [handwriting differs to that of Jermain Hope]; hard bound in green leather.
