Agreement between (1) and (2), whereby (1) agrees to let to (2) a cottage and grounds known as 'Tranker Cottage' [at Tranker Wood] in the parish of Worksop, currently occupied by F.M. Heathcote; terms as follows: rent at £10 and 8 shillings per year, payable quarterly.
(2) agrees to the following: not to underlet the property, to preserve all game and wild fowl and all trees and shrubs, maintain the premises and cultivate the garden, not to alter any of the buildings or erect any new buildings or signs, not to use the property for any purpose other than a personal residence, to give up any part of the property on the request of (1), to pay the half years rent owed by the outgoing tenant, and to pay the outgoing tenant the sum of £3.5s for fixtures.
Note that the terms of the agreement are on a printed form, but many have been erased or added by hand.
