Content DescriptionFirst Party: Arthur Edward Elliott, land agent for [Henry P.A.D. Pelham-Clinton, 7th] Duke of Newcastle [under Lyne].

Second Party: The Worksop Billposting Company Limited, registered at Ryton Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Agreement between (1) and (2), whereby (1) agrees to to let to (2) the following:

(a) Posting station fronting onto Cheapside and bounded by the eastern side of the new road; rent £8.
(b) Posting station fronting onto Cheapside and bounded by the western side of the new road; rent £7.
(c) Posting station in Netherton Road on the garden occupied by Lane Hooson; rent £3.
(d) Posting station in Newcastle Avenue on the garden occupied by John Trinder; rent £8.

(2) may take down existing fences bounding the demised posting stations and erect bill-hoardings to dimensions stated, however hoardings must be taken down on determination of tenancy.

Contains various conditions re. rent and notice period to end tenancy.

Rent: £26 per annum in total, made in equal quarterly payments.

Pencil note states 'Note The Billposting Company having purchased, by conveyance dated 1 Dec. 1925, the piece of land upon which the hoarding is erected, and the adjopining land, the rent in respect of the hoarding will therefore cease as from 1 Dec. 1925 - the rent being £7 per annum - Total rent reduced to £13 per annum.'
