Second Party: Worksop Local Board of Health.

Agreement between (1) and (2), whereby (1) agrees to sell to (2) a piece of land currently used for Worksop Cattle Market, measuring 3 roods and 20 perches [coloured green on attached plan]; also 2 acres and 7 perches of land at Worksop known as Bridge Meadow [coloured red on attached plan].

Contains a list of conditions of sale, including the fact that the conveyance does not include the tolls or market dues; (1) will indemnify (2) from a rent charge of £600 payable on this and other property [see recitals below]; (1) must aknowledge (2)'s right to the production of title deeds.

Consideration: 'Fair Market Value' to be settled by arbitration.

Recitals: (a) recites indenture dated 29 May 1878 whereby premises listed in first schedule were demised to (2) for the term of 21 years; (b) fact that (2) rents from (1) premises listed in second schedule and coloured red on attached plan; (c) fact that premises and other property is subject to a yearly rent charge of £600 payable to Lord Edward William Pelham-Clinton; (d) fact that (1) has agreed to sell the premises to (2).

Includes plan which shows the cattle market coloured green, situated at the corner of Bridge Street and a new road [possibly Newcastle Avenue?]; the field adjoining the cattle market is coloured red and lies on the northern side of the market, between the River Ryton and the new road.
