Mortgage by demise from (1) to (2) of one undivided moiety of a messuage or tenement known as 'The Birks' in Whitwell, Derbyshire, together with several closes of land in Whitwell also; the various closes of land include: Upper Reynolds, Near Reynolds, Far Reynolds, Stoney Croft, Far Wood Close, Near Wood Close, Upper Daizies, Nether Daizies, Great Tentor Yard, Little Tentor Yard, Gospel Yard, Wood Close, Wood Nooking, Gospel Spring, The Lane, Well Yard, the Orchard, and part of a close called Ratcliffe Yard [details of acreages provided]; also of a messuage or tenement in Ratcliffe in the parish of Worksop together with several closes of land including: Nether Flat, Upper Flat, Over Field, Near Nether Field, Far Nether Field, Ox Close, Far Car Close, Near Car Close, the Wood, and Car Meadow [details of acreages provided]; property to be held for the full term of 1000 years; contains usual provisos for the repayment of the mortgage.

Includes recital relating to (1)'s father who demised the property in Ratcliffe to (2) by an indenture dated 25 Mar. 1788, for the term of 500 years for the repayment of the sum of £300. with interest; states that the mortgage was repaid, but that the term of 500 years has not been assigned and is still vested in (2); declaration that the term of 500 years will remain vested in (2).
