Content Description | Recites details of certain articles [of agreement] made previous to the marriage of his daughter that if she should die and leave issue, then on his decease the sum of £5000. should be paid to Rev. James Oakes and Rev. Henry Hasted; recites that he has actually paid the sum of £5000. to Oakes and Hasted and has been laid out for the prospective annuities, and that he has recently advanced to the [12th] Duke of Norfolk the sum of £25,000. as mortgage for estates in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Middlesex, Norfolk and Suffolk; orders his executor to stand seized of the sum of £12,500. to secure repayment; bequeaths the sum of £12,500. when paid to Rev. Oakes and Hasted, or to the trustees of his daughter's settlement.
Directs his executor to stand seized of the remaining sum of £12,500. until paid, and bequeaths this sum of £12,500. to his son Rev. James Oakes.
Requests that all his real estates which he has power to convey and settle shall descend to his son Orbell Ray Oakes; also gives to his son Orbell all ready monies, stocks, funds, securities for mortgages, together with the residue of his personal estate, after payment of all funeral expenses and charges.
