Content DescriptionDevises his capital messuage at Birks in the parish of Whitewell [Whitwell], Derbyshire, known as 'Birks Hall', with all other houses, outbuildings, barns, lands, gardens and so on with all rights and appurtenances; and also a messuage at Ratcliff[e] in the parish of Worksop, Nottinghamshire with all buildings, lands and appurtenances; both properties are devised to John Davey and William Davey, both of Warsop, Nottinghamshire, Thomas Fletcher the elder of Whitewell, as tenants in common, to be equally divided amongst them, and sharing alike the payment of any legacies.

Bequeaths the legacies of £100. each to the following: Phelidelphia Swift, Mary Lind, Ann Stanniland, Elizabeth Shaw, Hannah Hett; all legacies are to be paid out of his real and personal estates 12 months after his decease.

Gives the sum of £50. each to the following: Sarah and Robert Didsbury the younger, Elizabeth Glossop, Sarah Haslam; all legacies to be paid immediately after the death of Renshaw from his personal estate.

Makes various other bequests such as the clothing of himself and his late mother, and various personal artefacts such as his silver watch, silver tankard and his two guns; gives the sum of 1 guinea each to the twelve poor labourers who will carry him to church; residue of the estate and the sum of £100. is bequeathed to Messrs John and Thomas Pilkington.

Executors: John Davey, William Davey and Thomas Fletcher the elder.
