Lease and release from (2), (3), (4) and (5) to (6) of the following property: Worksop Manor with all rights and appurtenances; Shireoaks Manor [Nottinghamshire]; the parsonage and rectory of Worksop with all tithes of corn, grain, hay, wool and lambs; the advowson of Worksop vicarage; the perpetual right of presentation to Shireoaks Chapel; a capital messuage known as Worksop Manor House with courtyards, orchards, gardens and so on; several messuages, farms, lands and woods in Worksop and Shireoaks, Whitwell, Derbyshire and Laughton en le Morthing [Laughton-en-le-Morthen], Yorkshire; capital messuage and all other property amounts to 9185a.3r.33p. and described within the first schedule attached.
Further property includes: a close of land in Laughton measuring 2a.2r.12p.; also of all courts, franchises, rents and other privileges and fruits of seignory buildings, barns, stables, gardens, orchards, lands, mineral rights, woods, waterways and so on.
Property is to be held to various specified uses; to the use of (6) for life; to the use of (7) during (6)'s lifetime in trust for (6); also to the use of (6) and his assigns forever subject to several estates and charges including the following: (i) the estate or interest of [4th?] Duke of Portland for life in tithes arising from the property granted, marked on the plan [wanting]; (ii) the estate of [4th?] Duke of Portland for life of a small portion of land, part of a close marked on the plan; (iii) the estates of several tenants under existing leases and agreements; (iv) that Land Tax is payable, but which does not exceed the annual sum of £20.; (v) several annual sums of £70. and £20. secured on certain parts of the property granted are in Shireoaks, and the tithes are in trust for the officiating minister of Shireoaks Chapel; (vi) the annual sum of £10. is secured on property and tithes in trust for the Chapel clerk to supply surplices and bread and wine for the sacrament; (vii) the annual sum of £10. in trust for the vicar of the parish church of Worksop; (viii) the estate of George William Frederick [Osborne, 6th] Duke of Leeds, of a close of ground; contains usual covenants.
Note that the ninth to sixteenth skins contain schedules referred to by the lease and release; contains a numerical survey and particular of the Worksop Manor estate; lists tenants names, field names, acreages and the number on the corresponding plan [wanting].
Consideration: £370,000.; £44,000. to be paid to (2) at the request of (1), (4) and (5); and £326,000. to be paid to (1) at the request of (3), (4) and (5).

Recitals: (a) details of an indenture dated 26 Dec. 1814 as recited at (a) above; details of an indenture dated 16 Mar. 1839; (c) in consequence of the estate and freehold of (1), the property became vested in Henry Howard of Greystoke, Edward Blount and John Wright, but did not operate as a merger of the term of 300 years surrendered, but believed that an indenture did act as an assignment for the residue of 300 years; (d) (1) agreed for the purpose of merging the residue of the term of 300 years.
Ne 6 D 2/47/142/1 is endorsed with a memorandum dated 8 Jun. 1839 detailing the conveyance of property in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Yorkshire, including the manor of Shireoaks, by mortgage to James [Lindsay, 7th] Earl of Balcarres [and 24th Earl of Crawford] for securing £90,000. and interest.
