Assignment from (1) at the direction of (2) to (3) of a messuage or tenement with various closes of lands [all previously part of Holme Farm] in the parish of Whitwell, Derbyshire; the various closes of land include: the Croft, Church Piece, Little Jackyard, Jackyard Close, Upper Jackyard Close, Great Broad Meadow, Little Broad Meadow, Upper Blake Mires, Middle Blake Mires, Little Blake Mires, Gundy Meadow, Spring Close, Clover Meadow, Rough Meadow, Rough Meadow Bottom, and Oller Wood [details of acreages provided]; property is to be held for the unexpired residue of the term of 1000 years.

Further witnesses that for the better securing of the repayment of the two sums specified below (2) directs and limits that the property shall continue to be to the use of (1) for the unexpired residue of the term of 1000 years, subject to the proviso of redemption; includes usual provisos relating to the repayment of the mortgage.

Consideration: £500. and £700..

Recitals: (a) details of an indenture of mortgage by demise dated 22 Feb. 1815 [see Ne 6 D 2/47/107]; (b) default was made in the payment of the £500., and so the property became absolute in law for the term of 1000 years; (c) the sum of £500. is now due to (1), all interest having been paid, but a further sum of £700. has been requested by (2) from (3) in order to discharge the original mortgage.

The reverse of the second membrane contains a subsequent indenture dated 12 Aug. 1820.

First Party: Robert Field.

Second Party: William Willcock.

Assignment from (1) to (2) of a messuage or tenement with several closes of land [as specified above being part of Holme Farm in the parish of Whitwell], for the unexpired residue of the term of 1000 years.

Consideration: £1200. and £20.14.0..

Recitals: (a) (2) has agreed to pay off and the discharge the principal sum and interest due to (1), and desires that the term of 1000 years be assigned to him in order to merge the freehold and inheritance of the property.
