Bargain and sale from (1) and (2) to (3) of the tithes of Worksop within the tithing of (1) [details of tithe boundaries provided]; tithes to be held by (3) on trust that so long as (1) and (2) shall pay to (3) the sum of £10, (3) will permit (1) and (2) to take the tithes for their own use and benefit; however, if there is default in the payment, (3) will take the tithes and take the £10 out of them; notes that £6 of the £10 is to be paid to the clerk at Shireoaks Chapel and £4 is to be used for surplices and for bread and wine for the sacrament.
Recitals: (a) fact that (1) has recently erected a chapel at Shireoaks, that he has the right of patronage and that after his decease this right will be held by the lord or lady of the manor of Shireoaks; (b) fact that the tithes of Shireoaks and Gateford were charged with an annuity of £70 for the officiating clergyman at Shireoaks Chapel; (c) fact that the same tithes were also charged with an annuity of £10 for the Vicar of Worksop; (d) fact that the same tithes were charged with a further annuity of £20 for the clergyman at Shireoaks Chapel; (e) fact that (1) has asked (2) to join with him in making provision for the incumbent of Shireoaks Chapel. |
