Second Party: Andrew Clayton, gentleman of Romeley, Derbyshire.
Articles of agreement between (1) and (2) that (1) will assure to (2) before 12 Oct. next ensuing the following property: the manor and capital messuage of Clumber in the parish of Worksop, Nottinghamshire, with all houses, outbuildings, barns, stables, gardens, orchards and closes of land with appurtenances; also of all the woods, underwoods and timber standing or growing on the said lands; property is to be held by (2) as freehold in fee simple, and anything as copyhold according to the custom of the manor; property is to be free and discharged from all grants, surrenders, rents and so on; (1) agrees to submit within one month all deeds and writings relating to the property, and also that he will not remove or destroy any of the rabbits found on the property; (2) agrees to pay the sum of £2000. in two equal portions on specified dates
