Content Description | First Party: The trustees of the late 7th Duke of Newcastle under Lyne.
Second Party: The Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens of the City of Nottingham.
Release and discharge from (1) to (2) of all liability for a yearly rent of £100 [for Boughton Well and Pumping Station]; confirmation of the grants, benefits and provisions contained in the deed recited at (1) below; acknowledgement by (1) of (2)'s right to the production of deeds listed in an appended schedule.
Consideration: £1,400.
Recitals: (a) notes that this deed is supplemental to a grant dated 9 Jul. 1902 [see Ne D 1/10/1]; (b) death of the 7th Duke and details of his will; (c) fact that the trustees are the present trustees of the will; (d) as such, they are seized of the right to collect a rent of £100 per annum for water rights granted at (a) above; (e) fact that (1) have agreed to discharge (2) from the rent in question.
