Also available [from p 60] is a summary of payments from the central Clumber Estate [Clumber Park], including: repair expenses, for example for stone and lime; an account of gamekeepers' wages and allowances; expenses relating to Clumber Gardens and Pleasureground, such as payment of labour, and purchase of tools; record of the purchase of coals and timber; details of planting expenses; an account of gratuities; and finally an account of miscellaneous payments, for the delivery of letters from the Post Office, for example.
Of particular interest, there is mention of payments on account for building a new Church and Vicarage House at West Markham [Markham Clinton] on p 76.
The account includes details of expenditure relation to Haughton and Hardwick farms [Hardwick Grange?] [p 78].
The annual balance sheet can be found on pp 82-83; this provides an abstract of the receipts and payments for 1830/1831 and indicates that the balance was £28,598.0.10 1/4.
