Of particular interest, there is record of money advanced on account of the building of an incorporated workhouse at Upton on p 36.

Account also includes details of payments from the estates from 26 September 1826 to 26 September 1827, for taxes such as income tax and land tax, tithes, repairs, and sundries such as superintending the school in Haughton Park; these are also arranged by individual estate [including Normanton].

Also available [from p 62] is a summary of payments from the central Clumber Estate [Clumber Park], including: repair expenses, for example for the carriage of stone; an account of gamekeepers' wages and allowances; expenses relating to Clumber Gardens, such as payment for labour, and purchase of salt and candles; record of the purchase of coals and timber; details of planting expenses; an account of gratuities; and finally an account of miscellaneous payments, such as for the delivering of letters, for example.

Interesting to note, is the mention of payments on account for the building of a new Church at West Markham [Markham Clinton] [p 78].

The account includes details of expenditure relating to Egmanton, and Walesby and Willoughby Enclosures [p 81], and to Haughton and Hardwick farms [Hardwick Grange?] [p 80].

The annual balance sheet can be found on pp 84-85; this provides an abstract of the receipts and payments for 1826/1827 and indicates that the balance was £36,085.9.2 1/2.
