Content Description	This volume opens with the appointment of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington as Prime Minister and charts Newcastle's growing dissatisfaction with the ministry, especially when it proceeds to repeal the Test and Corporation Acts in 1828 and passes a measure of Catholic Relief in 1829. The entries continue to record the development of his family, including Lincoln's education, Georgiana's coming out and his conflicts with his mother. There are also continual references to his estate and business concerns.
