Notes that he has only come to see the plants and 'anything new'; wishes her to tell Walter [Stowe McLaren] that he has seen beautiful red and green birds and a reconstructed tree 31 feet across and 360 feet high.
Notes that John [Bright] got him into the Speakers' Gallery last night, where he though [Benjamin] Disraeli's speech was poor; mentions that Samuel Lucas took him to see the new 'Star' offices.
