Content DescriptionAssures him that Prince Löwenstein has no authorisation to deal with 'Lady C' [see La Ref 4]; explains why Miss [Jean] Watson of Curtis Brown has taken the attitude she has; promises to ask her to conclude negotiations with Tal as soon as possible; suggests he write to Edward Titus (address given), publisher of the Paris edition of 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' if he is still waiting for a copy; will ask his sister-in-law [Else Jaffe] to show him her translation of ' The Plumed Serpent' and will endeavour to find out if Kippenberg [of Insel-Verlag] will really release 'The White Peacock', 'Lost Girl' and 'Aaron's Rod'; doubts if he will; thinks 12M for a 'paper-covered book of this sort' is about right; will be pleased to see his translations.
