Content Description
Confirms that the photo reproduced in Huxley's Letters ['The Letters of D.H. Lawrence'] was first seen by her when staying with the Chambers family in 1911; suggests that Dr J.D. Chambers could comment on her impression that the original was taken just before Lawrence left for Croydon [1908]; comments further that any photo taken subsequent to L's mother's death or his own critical illness in December 1911 would have shown 'hollowed cheeks and an older face'; refers to two items to be included in her new book ['D.H. Lawrence - the Croydon Years'] both having appeared in 'The Texas Quarterly'.
