Content Description	Photocopy of pp.1-7 of 'The Story of Ilkeston School' by Susan Mullins (Ilkeston: Moorley's Bookshop Ltd, 1988), being most of Chapter 1 'The Pupil Teaching Centre and the Founding of our School'. The school was originally known as the Pupil Teacher Centre, and was attended by D.H. Lawrence (c.1903-1905) and a group of his friends, including Louie Burrows, Jessie Chambers, Richard Pogmore and George Henry Neville. Includes illustrations of D.H. Lawrence, views of the school, and an architects plan of the front elevation.
