Shows D.H. Lawrence and Ada Clarke; other figures standing with them are thought to be Emily King and her daughters Joan and Margaret with Ada's sons John and William Herbert; the figure standing on the far right of the photo is possibly Gertrude Cooper.
Date: the photograph was probably taken during a holiday in Mablethorpe, August 1926; see La Phot 1/20, a photograph of D.H. Lawrence and his sister Ada taken on the same holiday.
