Content DescriptionHas heard news of the death of Professor Ernest Weekley.

Urges her not to give permission for anyone to publish an unexpurgated edition of 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' in case it interferes with film rights. Cites the case of The Dial Press's 'First Lady Chatterley' as an example. States that the copyright is vested in Frere [of Heinemann] in the British Commonwealth. States that he would rather not send the original version of the novel to Professor Mark Schorer of the University of California, and suggests sending a copy of the typescript instead.
