Content Description	Frieda asks her not to be sympathetic as both she and Lawrence are 'very happy'; admits that she misses her children; refers to news from Eddie Marsh [Edward Howard Marsh] and Barrie [Sir J. M. Barrie]; sends seasonal greetings; signed 'Frieda L.'; Address on f 1r and note 'The shortest day' in hand of D.H. Lawrence, who has interspersed Frieda's messages with sarcastic commentary; he suggests that she ought to join them if Winter is bad; mentions the weekend that they spent at an Italian castle; sends seasonal greetings to her, 'Don John' and Mr Asquith [Herbert Asquith]; signed 'D.H. Lawrence'.

Physical Description	Written in two different shades of dark ink, by the two correspondents, on a folded sheet of plain white paper; the text following the sequence: ff 1r, 1v, 2r, 2v; watermarked and embossed with an armorial shield-crest on f 1r; the dimensions are 179 x 111 mm; one horizontal fold in the paper.
