Content Description	D.H. Lawrence addresses Louie Burrows as 'My dear Lou'; states his desire to break off their engagement, feeling that he lacks the 'proper love to marry'; plans to meet her the following week; signed 'D.H. Lawrence'. Includes a plain white envelope, addressed to Miss L. Burrows at Coteshael, Cheveney Lane, Quorn, Leicestershire; bears a red one penny embossed postage stamp, postmarked in 'The Chart' at 7 pm on 7 Feb 1912; postmarked on the verso in Loughborough at 3.30 am on 8 Feb 1912.
