Content Description | Addresses her as 'My dear Lou'; apologises for having mistaken the train times; has finished his verses and plans to send them to Heinemann [William Heinemann], and then send the proofs to her; complains that his typist has been 'dilatory' with the story called 'Two Marriages' which he would like to have published in the 'Century magazine'; plans to recommence his novel 'Paul Morel', which he feels is a burden to him; intends to visit Miss Reynolds [Lilian Reynolds]; recalls attending a Promenade Concert in the 'Public Hall', where they played Schubert's [Franz Peter Schubert] Unfinished Symphony, and where Alice Esty was singing; refers to Leroy's letter as 'too impersonal to be interesting'; is dreading the thought of having to restart 'Paul Morel'; wishes he could have a cottage of his own; signed 'D.H. Lawrence'.
