Content DescriptionWriting on 'Thursday night', tells her that he has asked T.A.S. [Thomas Alfred Smith] if he may cancel his proposed visit to Lincoln; if so then he will visit Louie in Quorn by Tuesday, but not before Monday as 'Shirebrook [the home of Alice Mary Dax] is a clinched thing'; reports that Ada [Lawrence] is visiting their aunt [Ada Rose Krenkow] who is ill but not seriously; signed 'D.H.L.'

The verso of the card is plain, being addressed to Miss Louie Burrows at 5, Kingston St., Derby; bears a green half-penny stamp, postmarked in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire at 9.45 am, 18 Aug 1911.
