Content DescriptionInforms her that they have come on a trip to the mainland because the postal and railway strike makes work impossible; provides description of the former monastery where they are staying [see picture on reverse of postcard], and also of the coast they passed on the journey; signed 'Love DHL'.

In a postscript written upside down at top of main body of text, he complains again about the postal strike, and mentions that they return to Capri in 2 days time.

Verso of the postcard has a black and white image captioned 'Amalfi - Hôtel dei Cappuccini - Il Chiostro del 1200'.

Postmarked: Amalfi, Salerno, 28.1.20[?].
